What Are You Going To Do With All Your Free Time?

Here’s my hypothesis: people are catching on that conflict and power struggles waste time and energy. Partners are choosing the shifts, such as appreciating and wondering rather than blaming.  I noticed people having more and more fun throughout the week as the decibel level rose in the room (thank goodness we had a sound system). So the question then becomes: what you are going to do with all the energy you’ve been expending in conflict and power struggles?

We looked at what we call The Big Leap into genius. That is, spending most of your time engaged with what you love to do, the kind of absorption where time disappears and you end up with more energy than when you started.  Everyone comes in a unique form with unique gifts that can be developed and contributed free of the recycling roadblocks that most people use to stall out their fulfillment.

Here’s the possibility. Delve into what you love to do and spend more time on it each day, even if you start with ten minutes. As you consistently choose genius, you’ll find that the speed bumps get smaller and more infrequent, and that you steadily enjoy more energy, connection and collaboration.

There’s just one cost: giving up your attachment to suffering (what the philosopher and wild genius Gurdjieff said was the last addiction humans would release).  Don’t wait to get perfect and then focus on your genius. Make those choices now, day by day and feel yourself expanding into contribution through love.

What choices can you make today?
